Lawrence Lady Boss | VANESSA LAPLANTE

  LADY BOSS PROFILE

Meet Vanessa Laplante, the lady behind @birthingsacredtruths. After working through traumas and belief systems, false programming that ultimately weren’t authentic to her, Vanessa realized she was birthing sacred truths. "I have the blessing to be able to follow my calling and help people of all ages and backgrounds, and animals on occasion, in and out of the States, locally and remote, who are seeking a holistic approach and answers.” Some want more enjoyment or ease in their lives and some are looking for facilitation working through traumas committed against them. "I utilize sacred modalities, such as Koren Specific Technique, Sat Nam Rasayan and Access Bars® to access answers from innate wisdom and balance the energy of the body/mind complex. KST has especially been a great help in providing answers—answers that most others have missed: while first prioritizing the bodies needs, we work through the many layers releasing disharmonies, getting to the root issues.” Vanessa offers custom herbal brew blends, smudge mists, oil rollers, bath soaks, and various organic gifts, and also provides intuitive oracle readings for those seeking this guidance.

What is your goal for the next year?

In the perspective of business, I would like to offer herbal brew blends and oils in local shops and have a building space to host meditations, workshops and sessions...a sacred space of learning, remembering, gathering. On a personal level, I would love to be living in nature with plenty land surrounding.
Who has influenced you the most?

Many over my lifetime: my momma, my daddy, myself—all the versions of myself that I have outgrown. Those in the world throughout time who have shown great love, acceptance and grace to others that many would instead judge and not understand, my ancestors before me who practiced healing in their towns, the incredible people in similar fields sharing to help: Gabrielle Bernstein, Kimilla Grace, Mahan Kirn, Maryn Green (Indie Birth Association), Dr. Tedd Koren, Dr. Bruce Lipton, Dr. Gabor Maté and many other people who’ve walked their sacred paths.

What one piece of advice do you give to other business owners?

Work through the layers of beliefs that no longer serve you; have potent belief in yourself, your paths and create from a place of enjoyment.

When you are not working, what are you doing?

Oh this can really vary but I’m generally exploring areas and towns new to me, blasting mantras/music while dancing and singing around our studio, loving our kitties, working with my veggie plants, learning, listening to various talks and catching up on FaceTime with my nieces and nephews.

What Lawrence hidden gem do you recommend everyone checks out?

I’ve spent most of my time in Lawrence without a vehicle and have explored the places my feet have taken me...the best adventures have come with no destinations other than listening to my instincts on where to go next. There’s so much history, and the architecture is gorgeous here—it’s incredible what more is seen when walking, from nature to communities.
But if you’re looking for a name and actual location, gooo indulge in the divine delights at Cosmos Indian Store & Cafe.

If you could change one thing about your business, what would you change?

I would have physical spaces, two locations, one one town and one based in nature, to offer more in-person services, gatherings for the community. And so it is.

Vanessa adds, "Know that you are infinitely loved and supported. Your dreams matter always—so do you.”
