Lawrence Lady Boss | WHITNEY SCHNEIDER

Meet Whitney Schneider, the woman behind Schneider Fitness and Kondition Haus.  Kondition Haus is a health collective that has services including personal training, yoga, physical therapy, chiropractic care and massage.  Within KH Whitney and her husband, Zach, own their own personal training business, Schneider Fitness.  They have been training in Lawrence for over 11 years and have developed a niche for small group training with a primary focus on strength training.

What is your goal for the next year?

In January 2020 we expanded our facility to allow for more opportunities for both clients and trainers.  My goal is for our community to grow healthier and stronger via exercise and other health practices.  I want to do that by seeing more clients both in person and online.
Now more than ever is the time to focus on one’s health and make it an honest priority in life.

Who has influenced you the most?

Both my mother and my husband.

My mom has been there since day one and always supports me and my endeavours.  My husband, Zach challenges me physically, intellectually and professionally which has greatly influenced my growth.

What one piece of advice do you give to other business owners?

Manifest your goals.

Write down ALL of the things you want in life and put it someplace you’ll see it every day.  Talk about your goals with anyone who will listen.  It keeps your vision at the forefront and allows others the opportunity to potentially connect and collaborate.

When you are not working, what are you doing?

You’ll find me with my family preferably outside somewhere.  I enjoy riding bikes, SUP boarding, hiking and traveling.  When I have time alone I enjoy reading and writing.

What Lawrence hidden gem do you recommend everyone checks out?

Wells Overlook is located South of town just a few miles.  It’s a nice little “getaway from it all.”  It’s a short drive and an easy climb (maybe even a little picnic) to the top of the overlook that showcases the beauty of Lawrence from afar.

If you could change one thing about your business, what would you change?

I would’ve taken more Business and Marketing courses.  As much as I enjoyed my Exercise Science classes in college I wasn’t well versed in opening my own business and feel that was an oversight along the way.
